Happy Father's Day!

Happy [belated] First Father's Day to my wonderful husband! It has been so fun watching Aaron become such a good daddy these last 5 months. I fall more and more in love with him as I watch him love our daughter. He has such a sweet bond with her and I am so lucky to have a husband who is such a kind, caring, fun daddy too! He works his rear off to make sure that Loralye and I are provided for and I love that he can come home so tired after a long day of work and still want to play with his family. You are the best husband I could ask for and the best daddy to our baby girl. I love you Aaron!

Happy Father's Day to my daddy too! He has always been such a fun dad! Whether it was camping in the mountains, playing in Disneyland, boating on the lake, flying to New York or Hawaii, or just playing games at home, he is always up for a good time with his family and he made my childhood so much fun! He is such a devoted father and grandfather. He has fully provided for his family from day one and I am eternally grateful to him for allowing my mom to stay at home and raise us kids. I love you dad!

And last but not least, Happy Father's Day to my father-in-law Allen! I am so lucky to have a father-in-law who is not only a great dad, but also a great grandpa and employer too! It's thanks to him that Aaron and I can provide for our family and that I can work full time and still be a full time mom too. He is such a good man and I am so thankful that he has been such a good example to Aaron of what a husband and father should be!

Father's Day Weekend!

We had such a fun weekend! I love weekends like these when we actually have something going on. I used to love a weekend in front of the TV, but after way too many of those I'm ready to toss the cable box right out the window!

*Friday*
Green beans and movie night.

She was doing so well until about 10 minutes into the feeding when she gagged once and ALL of the green beans came right back up.

A bath immediately followed this mess of course!

Gettin ready for the movie!

*Saturday*
Sleeping in, Aquarium at the Bass Pro Shop, Red Robin, Aaron opening his Father's Day gifts, and U-Swirl.

Most of the fish were bigger than Loralye.

*Sunday*
Church, Dinner with the In-Laws, and Playtime with Daddy.

New Solid Food Habit: Loralye tolerates her rice cereal pretty well now, but would much rather spit it out all over her tray than keep it in her mouth. I'll put a little bit in her mouth and her head dives straight down for the Bumbo tray. Taking away the tray results in food being spit all over the Bumbo and her legs. There's no winning with this girl.

5 Months Old.

Loralye turned 5 months old yesterday!
Here are a few pictures from last night :)

Cereal, Suits, and Papalapa.

My sweet little angel is 5 months old today! Craziness!! On Sunday we started giving Loralye rice cereal. Our pediatrician convinced us not to start at 4 months like most people do because she is exclusively breast fed and at her 4 month check up she was still completely satisfied after each feeding. But lately she has been acting strange after each feeding... She acts like she wants more and then cries because she really doesn't. So rice cereal it is! I've heard from many a mom that babies can have a hard time with it at first so it's best to make it thinner than what it says on the box. The result? Loralye spewing slightly thickened breast milk all down herself. She didn't seem overly excited by the experience, but not totally unhappy either.

You see that "Eh. That was kinda weird and unsatisfying." look she has? She acted like it was a pretty boring experience, so last night I decided to thicken it up quite a bit. The result was much more unpleasant for Loralye and much more entertaining for Aaron and I. Poor baby. At least she'll get used to it quickly. I hope.
She started off pretty content...
and she even gave mommy a smile!
And then the calmness wore off and she was not thrilled with her situation! Oh ick!
Oh please, no more!
Mom this is awful! Stop the madness!!

Oh we parents torture our kids sometimes. She'll live though and she needs to learn how to eat! And she'll be shoveling down steak like her daddy in no time I'm sure. Especially if her teeth keep popping through. 2 teeth at four and a half months! Who would have thought?! By the way... I've tried a zillion times to get a picture of those two little front teeth, but Loralye is determined to not let me!

So! When we were in Clovis for Jesse's graduation, Aaron, Loralye, Jesse, my mom, and I all went to Men's Wearhouse to get Jess new slacks and a new shirt for graduation and we decided to get Aaron a couple new suits too. His old ones were from before he left on his mission! Yeah, they're 9 years old. Needless to say, Aaron was beyond stoked to wear his new suit on Sunday. It's a 3 piece and he looked so darn sharp!
Here's daddy and bunny all ready for church!!

Last, but certainly not least... My dad was in town yesterday for an insurance conference and they finished a little early so he stopped by the shop for a bit before heading off to the airport! Loralye sure loves her Papalapa!

California!

These past couple of weeks have been very fun and busy for me! For Memorial Day weekend, Loralye and I flew to Clovis to surprise my mom for her birthday! It was so fun to see her jump in shock when she saw us! We only got to stay for a few days, but had so much fun just hanging out! Most of the pictures from that weekend are either on my mom's computer or are in the process of being restored after my old camera messed them up, but here are the few I have and I'll try to get more some day!

Yodiggity! The best frozen yogurt place ever!!

Bath time in the sink with Grams! She loves sucking on my arm (and Grams' too apparently!) during bath time!

A week and a half later, we were headed back to Clovis (with Aaron this time!) for my youngest brother's high school graduation! We are so proud of Jesse! We drove up Thursday night and other than 20 minutes of screaming from the baby as we went through the mountains in Tehachapi, it was a really good trip! Friday and Saturday we spent time shopping and playing games. Sunday was church, and Monday was the graduation! Loralye did so well considering we were gone for so many days. Her routine was thrown off a bit which led to some not so pleasant nights, but she settled right back into her schedule when we got back home. Anyways, here are a bunch of pictures from the trip, and again, there are more pictures on my mom's camera that I will post as soon as I get them!
Getting ready for the long ride.

Breakfast time on Friday.
Playing outside in the Bumbo (aka the best invention ever!) on Friday afternoon.
Watching Daddy run in a circle. He's so silly!
Watching Te'a play fetch with Daddy.
Hangin out with Grams and Papa on Saturday.
Saturday outside.

Watching fetch with Te'a again.

She LOVES this dog! Te'a would growl and Loralye would squeal with delight! Te'a would dart off after a toy and Loralye would shake with excitement. What's the first thing we're getting when we move into a house? A dog for sure!

Sunday after church. Loralye loves phones (probably because we never let her hold ours) and my dad has a Disney app on his that made her go crazy! I've never seen her so intense about a toy before!

More outside time on Sunday. She loves my parent's backyard. Her eyes would go everywhere whenever we went outside. It makes me really really want a house!

Nap time with Uncle Shane on Sunday evening. She can be really difficult to put to sleep sometimes... Go Shane!!

Helping Uncle Jesse try on his graduation cap.

She loves touching peoples faces! So cute!

Mom and Jesse before we all headed down to the school Monday night.

That's it for CA pictures. I'll try to post more soon. Here are a few more from the end of May/beginning of June. She is such a big girl now. She even has two teeth! Of course I don't have pictures though because she covers them up with her tongue, but the first one popped through last Wednesday (well, we noticed it last Wednesday anyway), and the next one came through over the weekend in Cali!
