More stuff.

All of my blogs lately seem to be about stuff we get for the baby, but it's honestly the only thing that is even somewhat exciting that's going in my life right now. We bought the last things that we plan on buying for her. We have almost all the big essentials now. Here are the last two things we got for her:
Car seat and stroller. Isn't the pattern pretty?! I love it!
Changing Table. It matches the crib we got her. Now I just need cute little baskets to put on the shelves! And note the little bunny on top. Yay =)

Our ward had a trunk or treat last weekend and Aaron and I did a fishing booth where the kids got a fishing pole and threw the line over our "sea wall" and I attached a candy, pulled the string, and they pulled their treat back over. We honestly had the most popular booth in the building. Aaron was so funny and the kids loved him! We went there with three massive bags of candy and went home with about 5 pieces. All in all it was a very successful night. And this picture is just for mom. She wanted to see my work =) Using some pipe from the shop, an old sheet, some craft glue, and about $3 worth of felt, I made this. Silly I know, but it makes me happy. The little seahorses are my favorite. Aaron was concerned for the yellow one though. Apparently he doesn't blend into his surroundings enough and is in danger of being eaten.

Hopefully next blog we'll have some actual updates to make. Or at least some new ultrasound pictures. Love ya'll! Have a Happy Halloween tomorrow!!

Congrats!!

Congrats to my big brother Shane! He got engaged to be married yesterday!! I am so excited for the two of them! I have been waiting by my phone for Shane to call and share the news and I'm so happy that he finally popped the question last night! Nikki is an amazing lady and is going to be the best sister! She fits into our family perfectly and we could not ask for a better woman for Shane! The wedding will be in Clovis sometime in April and I can't wait!! I'm going to get Bunny the cutest little dress for their big day =) Yay!!

New addition...

One little new addition has made its way into our apartment... a crib mattress! $20 on craigslist! Such an awesome find! Not the most exciting update, but this is what you get when you're just waiting for a baby to come and have no money to do fun things! On a more exciting note, only 6 more weeks until we drive to Clovis for Thanksgiving!! I can't wait!! And I also can't wait to share another piece of exciting news with you all, but I have to give someone else a chance to announce it first... I don't want to rain on their parade... So hurry up kids!! Write a post already!

New Goodies.

Bunny's room is starting to come together! My wondeful parents bought her crib bedding for her so we just need to get a crib mattress now and it will look perfect! Here's what we have so far... The bumper and the skirt have a lot of the green/white pattern on them, but the sheet is the red/white pattern so it will break up the green perfectly once it's all put together! And yes... The diaper stacker is currently hanging on a standing fan. We will be getting a shelf with hooks to hang the stacker on and hopefully we'll be getting a ceiling fan so we can take the ugly floor fan out. I just need it in there right now so I can play the piano without overheating myself or Bunny =)

Here's a close up of the quilt that came with the bedding set. Isn't it adorable?! I'm going to make her an animal lover as soon as she's born!!

And we did a little shopping yesterday. I have registered for several bigger items, but we are hoping to buy them all ourselves since the shipping for big items from Target and Babies'R'Us is ridiculous, so I've been checking out Craigslist every day and found this yesterday morning! It's an Eddie Bauer bassinet that sells for about $150 in stores. It's not even two months old and is in PERFECT condition! We got it for $50 and the lady who sold it to us has a little girl and gave us a bunch of clothes that her daughter has outgrown! Some of it was stained with spit up and whatnot so that's going to donations, but the majority of it just needs to be tossed in the washing machine! I'm so excited!

And yes... I did it. Before mutual yesterday, Aaron and I went to Costco and got Bunny her 2010 Christmas present =) And of course I wanted to make sure that everything would fit together and that all the parts were there, so I put it all together last night. It makes me so happy!! I haven't even been able to bring myself to take it apart yet! It's just so fun! I'm so ready to have lots of little dolls and barbies in our house!

Also, I'm counting down til my next Clovis trip already... 8 weeks from last night and we'll be driving into town for Thanksgiving!! Woo!! 6 hours of driving at 32 and a half weeks pregnant!! It will be an adventure!! lol. Love ya'll!!

October?!

When did this happen? After I announced that I was pregnant, people kept telling me that the pregnancy will fly by and that the baby will be here before I knew it. I didn't think much of it, but I just realized today that in two more weeks I'm going to be in my third trimester! I'm hitting the final stretch here and there's still so much to do! I'm finally going to be meeting with my actual doctor on Tuesday (I've only been meeting with the nurse so far) and I'm so excited! I have so many questions for her! And I'm still debating whether or not I want to take a Lamaze class or something along those lines. My mom never took classes and she had four kids just fine. I don't want to watch video of women giving birth. I'm not going to be at that end of it, so I don't want to see that much. Plus, I don't want to hear about every "what if" scenario and then be freaked out that something will go wrong. I figure that I'll be in a hospital surrounded by experienced nurses and doctors and if something does go wrong, they'll be right there. I am concerned though that I won't breathe right or something during the delivery if I don't take classes in advance. I'm not sure. I would love some advice though! Anyone have any suggestions for or against Lamaze classes? And if you're for it, which kind of class do you like? I don't want to go to one of those "no medicine during labor" kind of classes though because I plan on letting them drug me up as much as possible!

I don't have any real baby updates right now. We don't have another ultrasound until the middle of November, and I don't learn much at my doctor's appointments. I do know though that I'm not back up to my pre-pregnancy weight yet. I was so sick during my first trimester that I lost a bunch of weight and it's just starting to pile back on. But Bunny always measures ahead of where she needs to be, so I know she's not lacking in nutrition! Oh! I have a fun little baby story... Last night Aaron and I were grocery shopping and Bunny kept wedging herself up on my left side and it was starting to kinda drive me crazy. I kept rubbing her to try to get her to move so I told Aaron and he put one hand on each side of my belly, pushed his fingers into my left side and said "move baby!" and *bloop* she moved! I felt her settle into the middle of me and Aaron got to feel her leave my side. It was so fun! He's felt her move dozens of times, but he's never pushed her to a different part of my belly before and he got such a kick out of it. It made me happy! He's going to be such a good daddy. When we lay in bed at night he'll put his hands on my belly and talk to her til she starts kicking him. It's so sweet! She loves him already =) Also, when we were at Costco I saw a baby doll playset and I want to buy it SO bad!! We'd have to hang onto it for like two years before Bunny could use it, but I don't care! It's like that cutest thing I've ever seen and it's on sale for $35 dollars!! There's so much stuff too It could totally be her big Christmas gift right before she turns two! Aaron thinks I'm a little crazy, and maybe I am but it is just so stinkin cute... See for yourself!

I know it's a little nuts to be thinking that far in advance, but how awesome would it be to not have to spend much money that Christmas because we already have her big gift?! A $35 big gift nonetheless!! It's perfect!! Plus Bunny's room has a MASSIVE closet. We would not be short of space to store it. I think I'm going to go back tonight while Aaron's at mutual and buy it!!
