She's Here!!

Aaron and I snuck away to the office to pay some bills online while my family is babysitting Loralye, so I thought I would write a blog for you all! Be prepared for lots of pictures! I went in on Thursday the 15th to be induced. They started me on cervadil (sp?) to thin me out at 5:30pm and by 7:30am on Friday I was given an epidural. By about noon I was fully dilated, but my doctor was at another hospital delivering another baby and wanted me to wait, so we did. For two hours! When she finally showed up, all I had to do was push six times and we had our baby!

Due to being super shaky and throwing up lots after delivery, I didn't get to hold Loralye for a few hours, but Aaron took good care of her!

Loralye got to meet lots of her family at the hospital...
Aunt Krista (and that's Aunt like they say it in England, not Aunt like we say it here in the US!)

Auntie Amber

Grandma Wendy

Boss (since Loralye will be going to work with me, Grandpa Allen needed a nickname that both the baby and I could call him!)

Grams
Papalapa

and Aunt Nikki and Uncle Shane.

24 hours after she was born we got to go home!

She's also met Uncle Phil and Uncle Jesse since being home. Aunt Cynthia and Uncle Jason met her yesterday, but I didn't take pictures yet!

And here are some pictures from the last two weeks... Enjoy!

Today's the Day!

In about 6 hours I am going to be induced! Woo!! After seeing all of your comments I wanted to say thank you for all the love and support, and I promise I will try to find a way to blog after she's born! Maybe my mom's iPhone will let me. If not, maybe I can convince Shane and Nikki to put up a blog about her. I am so excited to become a mom! I was starting to get a little nervous last night as I was finishing up cleaning the house, but when Aaron got home after mutual, he gave me a blessing and I have been feeling as calm as a cucumber ever since! So yay for that!! I love you all and I will try to post pictures (or at least her name and stats) as soon as I can!! xoxo

Inducing.

I had my 39 week check up this morning and things are progressing nicely! In an effort to not completely screw up my husband's work week, I have decided to be induced. I'll be going in on Thursday afternoon, so baby will be here sometime on Friday afternoon or evening!! That way Aaron only has to miss work on Friday instead of gambling with the baby showing up on Monday or Tuesday and then having him miss two or three days of work. Plus, I can go in completely calm and prepared instead of having my water break and rush in all panicky and wet! It's just a win-win for everyone =) So if all goes as planned, baby girl will be making her debut two days before her due date on January 16th! I'm not sure when I'll be able to blog again though... We don't have the internet at home, and I will NOT be going to the office to update! But, I will be back to work first thing in March and I'll have plenty of pictures and whatnot then! Love ya'll!!

Chinese Birth Chart.

A friend of mine here in Vegas told me about a Chinese chart that predicts the gender of your baby based on your age and the month you conceived the baby. It worked for me! I was 22 and baby girl was conceived in April! According to the information on the top of this site, conceiving in April at the age of 22 is one of the best 3 times in life to get pregnant with a girl! Ha! Try it out!

Also, another girlfriend of mine told me that the full moon supposedly puts women into labor... And the next full moon is this Sunday! Yay! I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that I'll get two for two with these old myths! I'd love baby to come this weekend =)

Pictures!

I have been the worst picture taker lately! I think it all has to do with the fact that I'm pregnant and swollen and don't want to be in pictures, but I still should have been taking pictures of other people... I didn't take ANY pictures when my family was here for Christmas and I only took pictures when we were with Aaron's family because Wendy's camera was malfunctioning! Shame on me! Anyways... here are a couple of pictures from the last month or so...

My favorite snow picture. We had snow for a few days and this is how I found my car when I left work one afternoon! Yay for pretty falling snow!

This one is from Krista's birthday on New Year's Day at the mini race car place. Take note that every one of them is wearing a piece of Fox clothing! I even was too that day!

And lastly, a recent belly shot. 38 weeks! I don't think my belly has grown a ton over the last month or so, but I can feel that she is so much more crowded than she was before. She has to push up into my ribs and down into my bladder to stretch now. Yay.

38 Week Checkup.

I have finally started dilating! Woo! I'm about 1-2cm! I'm hoping that with another week of constant contractions like I've been having for the past 3 days I might be ready to go! But, I'm not getting my hopes up too much... baby will know when she's ready and that might not be for a while =) Love ya'll!

Exhausted.

I normally don't feel this way until the end of the week, but it's only Monday and I am pooped!! We had such a fun weekend though! We didn't have to work on New Year's Day which was wonderful, but for the past week or so, I have been getting up two, three, or even four times a night because I'm so uncomfortable, so sleeping in did not happen for me! The day was very fun though! It was Aaron's youngest sister's birthday and we met up with Aaron's whole family (including sister and brother in law from Utah!!) at a mini race car place that afternoon. Aaron's mom and I sat and watched while everyone else enjoyed the cars! After racing we went to Aaron's parent's house for the birthday dinner (Taco Bell! His sister is a Taco Bell sauce fanatic!) and to open presents. This little girl had the best birthday ever! She got everything she wanted and then some! We had to work Friday though, so we couldn't stay too late. We went back to the house on Friday night for a second Christmas. We had "Christmas Eve" dinner and opened gifts from our Utah siblings (They got us baby things including a much needed infant bouncer! You guys are the best!!). On Saturday I had my 4th and final baby shower with all of the women in Aaron's family (The men took some guns out into the desert and had a grand time!). It was perfect! The food was delish and the company was wonderful! Saturday night was the first motocross race of the season (I think... I'm really the only one in the family not 100% into the sport!) and everyone came to our apartment to watch it on the big screen and have some pizza. Everyone got to enjoy the races while I got to enjoy a book and everyone's company =) So to sum it all up, the weekend was darn near perfect!
On the baby front... I honestly don't know how I could get any more uncomfortable! I have been having fairly steady braxton-hicks contractions since Saturday evening which is uncomfortable, but it's nice to know that baby's getting ready to make her debut! I have another doctor's appointment in the morning, so I will let you all know if these contractions are actually doing anything after I get back to work! Oh! And I want to congratulate Aaron's good friend Rick and his wife Heather! They welcomed their first little baby into the world last night and we couldn't be happier for them! I can't wait until we can meet little Livia Noelle!
Love ya'll! Have a happy Monday!
