Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a marvelous weekend! Here's a little rundown of ours...
Saturday Morning: Took pictures of Loralye outside.
Saturday Late Morning-Late Evening: Aaron worked while I did laundry, dishes, cleaned, and played with Bun.
Saturday Night: Famous Dave's (Yum!) for Aaron's little sister's birthday.
Sunday Morning: Church. I was set apart for another calling as the Assistant Enrichment (or whatever they're calling it now) Leader. I was not released from teaching Sunday School to the 12 year olds, but Aaron and I will be taking an 18 week long marriage and family class with the rest of the young marrieds starting the week after next, so I will have a substitute for 18 weeks.
*Sunday Afternoon-Late Evening: Aaron got a call that took him almost 8 hours to fix so I hung out at home with Loralye and discovered that her high chair is the perfect height for the piano. We play duets now :)

So our weekend was kinda sad since Aaron had to work so much, but we very much enjoyed all the fun things we did get to do! Now for pictures.

Can you tell that she didn't want to stand up in the grass?

Still not too happy about the grass, but at least she put her feet down. Not too bad... Hey Mikey, she likes it! Persistence paid off!" Okay mom, that's enough. Pick me up please." Sitting in a basket is apparently a million times better than standing in the grass.Blowing raspberries on her own feet. Playing peek-a-boo with the bunny and daddy. She loves to clap!I love her little fingers and toes.
"Okay daddy. I'm done being in the basket."
"Hey mom, look what I found!"
"It's me!!"Loves for herself :)

The cutest double chin I've ever seen!
I put Loralye on her blanket in the middle of the family room with some toys so I could go around the corner and hang up some clean clothes. She stopped making noise and when I came back into the room this is where I found her...
And this is what she was doing... Silly baby. She sucks on everything.
I know this is an awful shot, but I only got two pictures and this was the better of the two. My friend Susan's little boy is just a couple months younger than Loralye and she loves him. She tried to give him kisses... and pull his cheek off. Since she does that to me all the time I'm just going to assume it's her way of saying I love you :)
One of our coworkers and his wife got this for Loralye. It's a little too big for her right now, but I love it and had to put her in it!
The back side :)

Happy Monday my friends!

Towels

Loralye is finally getting a real schedule established. I love it! She gets up between 6:30 and 7:30am, naps in the morning for 2-3 hours, naps in the afternoon for about an hour, and then goes to sleep between 6:30 and 7:30pm. She is still getting up anywhere from 1 to 3 times a night, but all she wants is a little comfort or food and she's right back to sleep. It has made my life easier now that I can plan things around her schedule instead of just hoping that my plans would work with her sporadic naps and unknown bedtime. Anywho, Loralye, Aaron, and I are doing wonderfully. I'm still working full time and Loralye still gets to come with me everyday. We're currently moving into a new office about ten minutes further away from our apartment (the one and only bad thing about the move!) and I am so excited. The office we've been in for the past two years is pretty nasty. The carpets are beyond repair, the tile floors are chipped and stained, and the bathrooms are not only disgusting, but they're out in the shop, so if it's summer, they are crazy hot, and if it's winter they're freezing. So yeah, not the best place to spend the day. Our new office has bathrooms inside and everything is pretty much brand new. We'll be officially moved in on October 1st and I just can't wait! Loralye is going to love the space too. I don't let her on the floor here because of how nasty it is, but I'll be taking the walker to the new shop with us so she can cruise around and we'll eventually get a bigger play pen for the office too. In other Loralye news, she is now over 20lbs! I had never weighed her at home before because I didn't think she would stay on the scale, but she did! I think that puts her right on track for her growth... We'll find out in a couple weeks when she goes to the doctor for her 9 month check up. She's also learned a couple new things lately... She knows how to clap now and does it often. She is finally starting to push herself up onto her hands and knees and rocking back and forth a bit. She knows how to say mama and she knows how to wave, but she rarely does either. She just does everything on her own terms. We have also learned that she likes to be scared. If we startle her or toss her up in the air, she gets a scared look on her face and then immediately smiles or laughs. I'm curious to see what she'll think of Halloween! Okay, enough writing. Time for pictures. We got Loralye some new bath towels (kid ones instead of baby ones... the baby ones are just so small!) and pajamas and that's all I've gotten pictures of in the last week. Maybe the weather won't be too hot this weekend and we can go outside to take some pictures!

Hello Kitty towel
Showing off her new purple jammies while trying to bite the rubber ducky's head off.
Disney Princess towel
Practicing her princess wave. Clap! Clap! Clap!
She's so big! We just had to move her into size 3 diapers!
Pretty in her pink jammies.
Everyday Aaron and I are so amazed at how gorgeous she is. We fall more and more in love with her everyday and are so grateful that the Lord blessed us with such a sweet baby girl.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! I know we will!

*Edit: I forgot to mention two super cute things Loralye's been doing! I need to think more when I blog. I type too fast! She has started giving kisses! You know, the open mouth, let me lick your face kind of kisses. It's adorable! AND she plays peek-a-boo now! She'll take a blanket or burp cloth or whatever is near her and pull it over her face and then pull it back down. I love it! She's a cutie :D

8 Months Old!

Loralye turned 8 months old on Wednesday (CRAZY!!) and I forgot to take pictures. Shame on me, I know. We did happen to get some video on Wednesday though. For those of you who don't know, Aaron and I both work for Aaron's dad, so Loralye gets to go to work with me. We are moving to a new office in less than two weeks so we got a walker for Loralye to roam around the new office in. We decided to test it out with her in the kitchen to see if she'd like it. And of course, being the picky baby she is, she cried. However, we recently bought some Gerber cereal puffs and Loralye LOVES them. So here's what we got her to do for her treats...

A little bit quicker...

And now from further back...

Loralye does not like moving her feet. If we hold her hands, she'll stand, but she does not like to move her feet to walk, so this is quite the amazing feat for her! We just thought it was so funny that she would whine the entire time she was moving, but she was determined to get her "puffy treats." It's kinda like training a puppy :)

I had to share this picture because it's just too cute. Loralye is a major snuggler. If Aaron or I are sitting near her, she leans in so she can be touching us. If we're holding her, she'll run her hand up and down our arms. It's so darn sweet! So this picture is from Tuesday night. Aaron and Loralye were playing on the floor (yes, that is my nursing pillow around his neck!) and Loralye wanted to have a hold on Aaron while also having free arms to play, so this is how she managed it...

See her little legs wrapped around his arm? So cute :) Oh! And I also decided that I couldn't just not take 8 month pictures, so I took some last night. It was just about bedtime, so the photo session was brief, but I did manage to get one where her hands aren't in her mouth and she's not looking down at her toys! Go me!

Clovis Pictures

A trip to Clovis for the weekend was just what the doctor ordered! After work on Thursday, we made a mad dash for home to pack and rush off to the airport. We made it with 10 minutes to spare! Woo! We spent Thursday night sitting in the family room letting Loralye get reacquainted with my parents and the dog. On Friday we went to Japanese Kitchen for lunch and then went to my dad's office so he could show off his grandbaby. Friday night we went to Farmer's Market and bought some amazingly delicious fruit and ate funnel cake while listening to quite the talented band. After Loralye (and my dad) went to bed that night, my cousin Sam and our friend Kristin came over to play pinochle until midnight. So fun!! On Saturday we went to my mom's ward's RS Super Saturday and went swimming during the day and then went to Yodiggity that night for some tasty frozen yogurt. On Sunday we went to church and had Aunt Cynthia and Uncle Jason over for dinner before we hopped on a plane and headed home. Loralye has had some stranger anxiety lately and I am so happy that she warmed up to my parents so quickly instead of being timid around them all weekend! It made everything so much more fun! We had a very full, busy weekend and I loved every minute of it! It was so nice to get away for a bit even if Aaron had to stay home. Thanks for taking one for the team darlin! Anyways... I always bring my camera with me on vacation, but it rarely makes it out of my bag when we go places, so these were the only pictures I got of the whole trip. These first few were on Friday afternoon while we had a little lull in the day... And the cheesy grin you'll see in a few pictures is a new trick she picked up over the weekend :)

Grams gave Loralye a shortbread cookie to suck on, but she bit a chunk off instead. I grabbed the cookie away about half a second after said chunk was bitten and very angry screaming followed. I can't help but be a paranoid mom.

Swimming with Papalapa and mommy.

Tasty window.

"Walking" with Aunt Cyn.

She LOVES Aunt Cynthia. And her sparkly necklace :)
Happy to be back home with daddy!!

Sleepy eyes... Time for bed after a very fun, exhausting weekend!
